Adrenaline Climbing Homeschool Family Night and Phys Ed

NOVEMBER 2, 6pm to 9pm will be our Gwinnett Homeschool Family Night.
The fee will be $15 per climber for three hours of full-service, guided
climbing.  There is no charge for non-climbing guests.

Suwanee Sports Academy will be offering PE classes for

children in the home school community based on the

MySport curriculum. MySport helps build a foundation in

physical literacy that benefits kids whether they grow up to

be a recreational or competitive athlete through exposure to

a variety of activities and sports with coaches who

understand their developmental needs.

Session 1 (K-6) Wednesday 1-2 pm Aug 8- Sept 12

Free Trial Martial Arts Class

My kids spent several years doing Taekwondo as "homeschool phys-ed".  While they gravitated to other interests, those years doing Taekwondo were very well-spent.  The following information on a local class was forwarded to me: 

 

 

SUN TAEKWONDO  is a Taekwondo school located at 1342 Auburn Road, Dacula, 30019 and our goal is to give the best of our knowledge in Martial Arts to the community.  The owner Grand Master Chung (9th Degree Black Belt) has more that 50 years of experience not just instructing Martial Arts but helping people of all ages to discover their inner power. 

 

As a members of the community and firmer believers of the benefits in the regular practice of Martial Arts, we would like to offer you special classes to home schooled children and their parents, classes that will nurture their mind and body.  We invite you and home school groups to come and try a class for free.

 

We offer Taekwondo classes for children, teenagers and adults, Self Defense, Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates, After School Program, Home school Program, Field Trips, Birthday Parties.  We open Monday ~ Saturday mornings and afternoons.  Please don't hesitate to call us and schedule your visit and  if there is anything else that we can do to support you and homeschool families, please let us know.

Sparkles in Lawrenceville offers homeschool skate days on the 2nd Friday of each month from 1-4pm

$4.50 includes skate rental

Children 4' 2" and under can play in the play area for free.

Homeschool PE at Suwanee Sports Academy

Suwanee Sports Academy started at PE Class for homeschooled students in August. We are almost through the first semester with another session starting in January after the holiday break. We have a great response from our parents and would love to see more kids in the program in the spring.

Homeschool gymnastics classes Loganville

For those of you looking for a gymnastics class, we found a homeschool
gymnastics class that will begin Tuesday, Sept 7th, 2-3pm, at Southern
Gymnastics. ($45 for first child and half off for the second child)

Also, they are considering doing another class on Thursday from 2-3 if there are enough students.

Each Monday at 1:00pm the homeschool bowling league meets.

Time to register for Georgia Force marching band, football, & cheerleading

Message from Georgia Force:

We are based in Gwinnett County (practice in Sugar Hill/Buford area, home games in Suwanee), but have players from Hall, Barrow, Jackson, Walton and other northeast counties.

Registration for the Georgia Force Middle School/High School Football teams, cheerleading and Georgia Force Marching Band will be THIS Saturday, February 7^th from 9am-12pm at the First Baptist Church of Sugar Hill (aka The Family Church). The church is located on Hwy 20 west of I-985/I-85.

Be prepared to pay $100 of registration fees. Bring a Letter of Intent (if homeschooling) and copy of your birth certificate.

Football – boys who are home educated or who attend a Christian school without a football program ages 13-up (age 12 is okay if they have prior football experience). Contact Terry Justus at terryjustus@bellsouth.net or 770-277-0682 if you have further questions.
