Etiquette Classes

There are two great classes at the Gwinnett History Museum that are
in danger of being cancelled if we don't get enrollments by January
30.

Prom Perfect, scheduled for Sunday, February 8, from 2:00 to 5:00pm,
is for anyone in grades 9 to 12. It will cover everything they need
to know to feel confident at a big dance or other social occasion.
The cost is $45.

Social Graces for Middle Schoolers is scheduled for Saturday,
February 7, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. We've been hearing from parents
that their middle schoolers need to learn the proper way to behave
in social situations, and this class will give them all they need to
know, plus tips on resisting peer pressure. The cost of this class
is $35.

Both classes will be taught by Linda Barnwell of the Barnwell School
of Etiquette. Ms. Barnwell is an expert on etiquette and
international protocol and has taught all over the country. (I wish
I had taken one of her classes before I found myself going to
business luncheons in my last job!)

You can register online at www.gwinnettparks.com or by calling the
Gwinnett History Museum at 770-822-5178 during the office hours of
10:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Thursday, or noon to 5:00pm on
Saturdays. (Little known fact: you can actually register by calling
ANY Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation location during regular
office hours; it's just best to call the class location if you have
questions.)
