Native American History Day

Saturday, March 28, the Gwinnett History Museum will be holding our Native American Day from 1pm to 4pm. Admission is $5 per person. The featured speaker will be Diamond Brown, Cherokee educator, but we will also have hands-on crafts, games, and additional stories. Some of the crafts will include making a clay pot, a cornhusk doll, and a Cherokee-style medallion.

If your child is a Girl Scout, this event will cover all requirements for the Georgia Native Peoples try-it or badge. We will also cover Cub Scout Bear Native American elective requirements. But the event is not limited to Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts—it is open to everyone!

We need people to pre-register and prepay for this event! You can register online at www.gwinnettparks. com or by calling the museum at 770.822.5178 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., or between noon and 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The registration deadline is supposed to be this Saturday, but we may be able to extend it. But please register now! Don't let this opportunity pass you by!
