September Home School History at the National Archives at Atlanta

You now have a choice! Attend Home School History on either the third Wednesday or the prior Tuesday of each month. This month choose from Tuesday October 18th or Wednesday October 19th.

The National Archives at Atlanta invites the home school community to participate in Home School History. Using the primary source wealth of the National Archives, students will experience American history with original documents from our regional holdings and from the online resources from other facilities of the National Archives. Students will also be exposed to sessions on research skills and research projects. Sessions are appropriate for grades 5 through 12 (ages 11 to 18). All sessions are free. Students under the age of 14 need to be accompanied by an adult. For more information and the year-long schedule of each morning and afternoon session, contact our Education Specialist, Joel Walker at joel.walker@nara.gov or 770-968-2530.

If you plan to attend, we would appreciate that you contact us before each day you plan to attend for photocopying and other planning purposes.

Students will explore the early decades of the United States from 1787 through 1824 from the perspective of primary sources from the National Archives.

Learn how to choose a topic, form a research question, do research, and create a fantastic history project. Home Schoolers will be encouraged to do a year-long research project and present their work at the Home School History Expo in May.

Actually, it's the other way around.

So I have to confess that I just spent the last 3 days at Dragon*Con, "is the largest multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film in the universe!"

Thanks to my teenage daughter and her friends who turned us on to the fact that our fair city hosts this ginormous convention every year where you can dress up as your favorite sci-fi or cartoon character, and get involved up to your elbows in the culture of all things intelligent and nerdy. Sure, there was a palpable level of downright geekiness involved, but that was awesome too.

Each member of my family had different interests and so convention fed us all. For me, it was Star Trek most specifically, The Next Generation and Sci-Fi Literature. For my son, it was Gaming (video games). My daughter, costuming (costume designing) and Manga (Japanese Cartoons). For my husband, Original Star Trek, Star Wars, and getting photos of as many costumed persons as possible.

Because we didn't understand the enormity of it all, we were unprepared for all the activities available, and also how staying in a host hotel would exponentially multiply the fun quotient. With that said, we are already making plans for next year.

(update this is what happens when you have too many blogs. This was intended for my nfahm.blogspot.com blog.... but homeschoolers should be more aware of dragon-con anyway.... only I recommend it for teenagers and adults, and not really little kids.)

Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center adding new Math and Writing Classes

In addition to all the great Science classes offered by GEHC, they are adding more subjects to their roster.

The Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center¹s Homeschool Programs in
2010-2011 were great! With the addition of new instructors and their
expertise, we are looking forward to an exciting 2011-2012 school year.

The Homeschool Classes and Labs are designed to supplement what you are
teaching at home. Our goal at the GEHC is to assist parents in their efforts
to school their own childrenŠ.not to replace the education they provide.
Students, enrolled in the classes, will be able to use equipment and conduct
experiments that are not easily executed in the home classroom under the
guidance and direction of qualified instructors.

Registration for Fall 2011 began August 1, 2011, and the classes have been
filling. There is still room if you are interested in signing up but do it
this week using the on-line registration at <http://www.gwinnettEHC.org>
website. If a class is full when registering, please contact the GEHC at
770.904.3500 so we can address the situation personally. The deadline for
online registration for Fall Semester 2011 is two business days prior to the
start date of each class offered.

We are really excited about the addition of our Writing and Research
classes, Art classes, and Math classes. Check them out!! If you like the
topic of any class but cannot make the time/day it is planned, give us a
call at 770-904-3517 expressing your interest and a suggestion of another
time/day. If we have enough interested folks, we will set-up a new class
offering.

10:00 a.m. The Surprising Papers in the Case of the Heirs of George Rodgers Clark (Document Lab)

Revolutionary War hero George Rodgers Clark’s victories in the west secured America’s claim to the Mississippi but personal claims were made as well. Documents and maps found in the case date from the 1730s.

1:00 p.m. Documents of the American Revolution (Primary Source Activity)

Students will explore the war through analysis of primary sources from the National Archives.

The National Archives at Atlanta holds all 24 million draft cards for the entire country. This lab will look at random samples of this gigantic record group to piece together a view of the American population in 1917-18.

Students will explore original records from the National Archives at Atlanta that documents the Civil Rights Movement from after the Civil War to the 1960s

Slavery and Freedom in Black and White: The African American Experience in 19th Century Newspapers July 8, 2011

This is not an official release from the National Archives at Morrow, but rather a personal invitation from Rose.
Those of you who attended Homeschool History Day at the Archives in Morrow may have met a wonderful woman, Christine Mitchell. She has a collection of historical newspapers, some from the late 1700's I believe, and has developed, along with Joel, an interesting exhibit that will be displayed at the Archives until October, if plans go forward.
Speakers from Clayton State University: Dr. Adam Tate,The Atlanta Voice: Janis Ware, National Archives: Joel Walker, and of course, Christine Mitchell. The Clayton State Gospel Choir will begin and end the program It begins at 7:00 and should end by 8:00.

These are hands-on, experiential learning programs for the whole family. Through environmental education, we aim to inspire youth with a love for learning by using the outdoors as a “classroom without walls” filled with unique learning opportunities.

* Families will stay together in dormitories or cabins and eat delicious meals in our dining halls
* Class offerings include topics such as marsh ecology, orienteering, herpetology, beach ecology, pioneer studies, etc.

The Georgia 4-H Environmental Education Programs serve over 30,000 students in the southeast every year and over 800,000 students since its inception in 1979. Operating September through May of each year, our five 4-H Centers provide opportunities throughout the state for high-quality day and residential educational experiences. Prehistoric Georgia Camp: June 20-24: 9am-3pm: Ages 7-11:
Dig, dig, dig! Young paleontologists will explore the world of dinosaurs and fossils, with an emphasis on Georgia prehistory. Build your own model dinosaur skeleton and start a fossil collection. Then turn to archaeology and dig for arrowheads and evidence of Native Americans. Includes crafts, games, and fun!

Wild West Camp: July 11-15: 9am-3pm: Ages 7-11:
Return to the days of cowboys and wagon trains. Head down the trail toward Orgeon, Santa Fe, and California. Learn Native American crafts and customs, watch out for danger on the trail, practice your roping skills, and help us pan for gold!

Archaeology & The Ancient World: July 25-29: 9am-3pm: Ages 7-11:
Become a young Indiana Jones as you explore the world of long ago! Learn about mummies, decipher hieroglyphics, discover Roman coins, and investigate ancient mysteries through crafts, games, and a mock archaeological dig.

Campers will learn the basics of the Civil War while re-enacting the life of a soldier in the Civil War. This camp will be full of crafts, games, and re-enactors. There will be a mock battle, so don't miss out!

I Want You! Military Camp: July 18- 22: 9am-3pm: Ages 7-12
Campers will learn about different wars in our nation's history including the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, The Civil War, World War I, and World War II. Campers will learn what it was like to be a soldier during these times. There will be re-enactors, mock battles, crafts, and hands-on activities.

Classes will be offered once a week on Tuesdays, and will begin in mid-August. Typical breaks will be taken for holidays. Students are expected to complete reading and written assignments outside of class. Hands on labs are included with each of the classes.

Biology: The cost is $370 for one year instruction. The price includes24 hours of labs. BobJones High School Biology Text. We will cover every chapter except the last one on Human Reproduction. Students will need to
purchase the text book on their own. All other materials and tests will be provided.

Chemistry: _The cost is $370 for one year instruction The price includes labs. Bob Jones High School Chemistry Text (2009 3rd ed.). We generally cover the first 15 chapters and chapter 19. Students will need to purchase the text book on their own. All other materials and tests will be provided.

Physical Science: The cost is $320 for one year instruction. Labs are done during the class time. I use the Bob Jones High School _Physical World_ Text. (2008 ed.) We will cover every chapter in the text. Students will need to purchase both the text book and the laboratory book on their own. All other materials and tests will be provided.

Anatomy and Physiology: _The cost is $320 for one year instruction. Labs are done during the class time. Apologia's _Human Body: Fearfully and Wonderfully Made _text. We will cover every chapter in the text. Students will need to purchase both the text book and the Anatomy Coloring book by Wynn
Kapit/Lawrence Elson on their own. All other materials and tests will be provided.

These science classes are offered by Carol Hecox. She has a B.A. from Greenville College, Greenville, Illinois and a M.A. from the University of Missouri. She has taught 17 years in public and private schools and
17 years to home school students. These classes will be taught from a creationist viewpoint.

BREAKING NEWS:

The local National Homeschool Honor Society chapter, Alpha Mu, is
inviting qualified fellow homeschoolers to Van Pugh Park on
Tuesday, May 24th, at 10 am (http://www.lakelanier.com/directory/parks/van-pugh-park/view-details/). No confirmation on why this event is occurring, but rumor has it that it is
a fun-filled membership drive intended to draw in more members!!! There may be volleyball, swimming, and Survivor-type Team
Challenges, but again, details are sketchy.

New recruits are wanted to aid and abet in the use of brains, skills,
and to volunteer as participants in this local honor society chapter for
the new school year of 2011-2012!!!

While little is known about this society, it is sure that anyone they
induct into their ranks must have scored 1800 (SAT) or 26 (ACT) or 180 (PSAT) or
a 90% on the composite/complete battery on the CAT, IOWA or Stanford achievement
tests administered by someone other than a parent within the past year. If you
scored at or above these scores on any of these tests, or think you will on an
upcoming test, come to investigate at your own risk!

To safely begin
your reconnaissance mission, email your intent to participate
to hersheyrules@bellsouth.net ASAP so we can arm you
with the necessary survivor gear. Then pack a picnic lunch, enter Van Pugh Park at
10:00 a.m. with your parent(s) and siblings, and pay
the $4 park entrance fee per vehicle. Rumor has it members will be spotted near the beach area
to the left of the picnic pavilion, look for a sign
saying:

For the past 2 years, I have been hearing wonderful things about the Classical Conversations Homeschool program. A friend of mine will be tutoring a 1st year highschool (9th grade) Classical Conversations program next year in flowery branch. Here is an email she sent about the program.

Dear Friends,
Next year, I will be tutoring a Challenge 1 class at the Flowery Branch Classical Conversations, and I am really excited about it. If you are not familiar with Challenge or Classical Conversations, I would love to introduce you to the program. In a nutshell, Classical Conversations is a mission to know God and to make Him known, a model to combine a biblical worldview and classical tools, and a method to equip parents and encourage students. The Challenge program begins in 7th grade and continues through high school Reid has been in the program since 7th grade and will do Challenge II next year. It has been a great fit for our family. Just the right amount of accountability and positive peer pressure.:)
Challenge 1 is a first year high school program, and the Flowery Branch location meets on Thursdays from 9-3:30. The other four days of work are done at home under your supervision. The seminars are:

Music Mania Summer Camp at G Minor Studios, Buford

The time is approaching again for our Music Mania Camp. What a great time we had last year as the children enjoyed each other and the music! Our kids’ band did an awesome job performing High School Musical and Camp Rock songs.

The younger kids really enjoyed the introduction to new instruments. As a result of camp, we had several students to sign up for lessons!! What an amazing sight to see a child smile with an instrument in their hands.

This year we are adding more of the wind wood instruments. We will offer piano, vocal, guitar, drums, all stringed instruments, sax, trumpet....and more...

There will only be one choice for selecting their instruments this year. Because we are incorporating acting, and dancing as well. We could not leave out dancing this year, as our theme is MJ....Music by a King! How can you not dance with MJ's music?

We are giving a big discount this week and next week to early camp registrars...Our price for one week is $125, which includes lunch. The camp hours will be 10AM - 3PM. We will allow early drop off and late pick-up at your request...for $20 more per week. We will have early drop off as early as 8AM, and late pick-up as late as 6 PM.

Early Registration discount will save you a whopping $45 dollars, but will ONLY last for two weeks. We are also offering multiple student discounts. If you register during early registration, you can save an additional $20 on the second child...and you can pay the same amount for the week of July 11 - 15. (BUT, you will not be required to make that payment at this time) This only secures the cost of the 2nd session enrollment.

Registration is $35 for non G Minor students. G Minor students pay NO registration fee.

This semester students will focus on drawing/cartooning and polymer clay. Fundamentals of drawing will be coupled with cartooning for an informative and fun learning process. Shape, form, shadow, tone and line will be explored in conjunction with cartoon expressions, heads, bodies, movement, character development and story line. Students will also work with polymer clay - a synthetic clay that can be used for many expressions from sculpture, jewelry, picture-like wall hangings, clocks and more. Depending on time constraints, students will explore one or two of these selections.

Registration for the Georgia Force Football and Cheerleading program is Saturday, January 29th from 10am-1pm at the pavilion at Gary Pirkle Park in Sugar Hill. Students ages 12 and up are eligible for the program if they are homeschooled or attend a private Christian school without a football team.

We do not have formal tryouts but the boys earn their position and some will have more playing time than others.

This past season the varsity team was runner-up and had a 9-2 season. We lost 17 seniors due to graduation so there will be lots of opportunities. We hope to field a middle school team as well (boys ages 12-14 - as of May 1, 2011). Eleven year olds are allowed to play with parent and coach
approval.

We play in the Glory for Christ league which include other homeschool /Christian schools teams in the north Georgia area. Go to GeorgiaFootballLeague.com for more information on the league.

All practices and home games are at Gary Pirkle Park in Sugar Hill. Spring practice is the first two weeks in May (M, T, Th, F) and then a jamboree with other teams on Saturday, May 14th. Regular season practices will begin July 25th from 5:45-8pm M, T, Th and F until the season begins. Practice continues on M, T, TH with games on Friday until late October/mid-November depending upon playoffs.

Cost is $550 plus volunteer time - but we provide most of the equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, game day jerseys, practice pants and jersey, pads for pants). You need to provide sports girdle, two mouthpieces, ankle supports, black game day socks, black shorts and screw in cleats ($14.99 at area Ross/Marshall etc.). We practice at our brand new Astroturf field at Gary Pirkle Park in Sugar Hill. We have an excellent coaching staff and a great bunch of boys. Seeking Homeschool Caregivers

I don't know that "homeschool caregiver" is a proper term for what I am seeking.

However, I have seen a large demand in the area for homeschool parents who are willing to look after the child of a single parent homeschooler or double income homeschooler along with their own children. The need may be for 1, 2, or 5 days a week. It varies from person to person.

May 21 Homeschool Graduation planning meeting, Bethlehem GA

EAGLES Home Educators is again hosting a high school graduation. We are
open to ANY homeschool graduating senior. The date is set for our
graduation, Saturday, May 21, and the location is Bethlehem First United
Methodist Church, Bethlehem, GA. As our 5th annual graduation we have a
very accommodating program for our graduates that focuses on the parent
as the teacher and highlights every child. Cost is usually very small in
comparison to many other graduations as all parents are involved in the
coordination of a wonderful event. Most years we have around 10-15
graduates.

Our kickoff planning meeting is Sunday, January 23 at 3PM at Bethlehem
1st United Methodist. (This is easy access for Gwinnett County or even
Athens. Coming from Gwinnett, Take 316 to Hwy 11 and turn right, church
is less than a mile on right.) Graduates _AND_ Parents will need to be
in attendance for details, planning, and measuring for caps and gowns.

Spring Classes at Gwinnett History Museum

The Gwinnett History Museum's spring homeschool classes will start next Tuesday, January 11, with our class for ages 6-10 entitled 19th Century lessons. That class will start by discussing life and events in 1855 (the year our building opened as a school) and then will role-play lessons in a one-room schoolhouse. This month's class for ages 11-up is scheduled for Tuesday, January 25. It is called "What is History?" and will include information on primary documents and historical research, including guidelines for writing a research paper. Classes are scheduled from 10:00am to noon and cost $5 each for Gwinnett County residents; however, students enrolling for four classes at once (January-April) get a discounted rate of $12 for all four, and will be eligible for a discount when registration opens for our May class also. The rest of our spring topics are as follows:

Ages 6-10
2/1 – Who was Abraham Lincoln;
3/1 – Sugar and Spice, But Not Always Nice;
4/12 – Plant It, Watch it Grow.

Ages 11-up
2/15 – The Great Emancipator, Abraham Lincoln;
3/15 – Women's History, Not for Girls Only;
4/26 – Gwinnett Through the Years

Classes include age-appropriate instruction, crafts, and games.

For the 2010 Basketball Season, Varsity and Junior Varsity Boys and
Girls Basketball, as well as Boys Middle School Basketball will have tryouts Wednesday and Thursday October 13-14.

Help us welcome With Malice Toward None: The Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Exhibition! The second program in this two-part series will explore how Lincoln is remembered, what lasting ideas he gave to our country, and where his continuing impact can be felt today.

Grab a map in the museum lobby and “travel the Lincoln Highway.” For each activity you complete during homeschool day you will receive a stamp to help you complete the cross-country trip from New York City to San Francisco. And if you like challenges, help the museum educators locate and identify missing Lincoln memorial sites to win a prize!

Discover Abraham Lincoln’s impact on this country and his lasting legacy by touring With Malice Toward None: the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Exhibition. Lincoln’s personal secretary John Hay, as portrayed by Dick Freeman, will discuss how Lincoln taught himself to read and write, and eventually taught himself the law.

Hear an animated living history performance of letters written to Lincoln by ordinary American citizens. Cathy Kaemmerlen portrays Helen Nicolay, a woman who had a unique opportunity to read Lincoln’s mailbag and help her father compile a telling biography of one of our greatest presidents.

Did you know that Thanksgiving wasn’t a national holiday until 1863? Lincoln proclaimed a national Thanksgiving Day in November of that year to help create pride in our nation at a time of great turmoil. Come to the Tullie Smith Farm kitchen to see cooking demonstrations, learn about the types of foods that were eaten on Thanksgiving Day in 1863, and discuss how Thanksgiving has changed over the years.

Over 16,000 books have been written about Lincoln since his death in 1865. That’s more than any other president, which is only fitting since Lincoln was an avid, self-taught reader. At Lincoln’s Book Nook take a break and read with Lincoln. He also loved the sound of words and was known to write poetry from time to time. After Lincoln’s death, the famous poet Walt Whitman wrote numerous poems about him. Come read works written by and about Lincoln and try your hand at writing your own poetry.

Throughout the program, be sure to stop by our craft table to make your very own coin or postage stamp to commemorate Lincoln and other important people. You can also create a family tree to learn about your own family legacy, play with Lincoln Logs, or take home fun activities to learn about Lincoln anytime you want!

Sea Scout Ship 22 Sargasso is looking for a few good members!

Who: Anyone 13 ½ through 20 years of age, who has completed 8th grade.

(Homeschoolers/Unschoolers whose children are the right age may determine that their teen is in whatever
grade they choose.)

What: Sea Scouting, a Division of Venturing, the co-ed program of the BSA for older youth

When and Where: Your Choice!

Why: for fun, service, friendship, the love of the outdoors and particularly the sea

We are recruiting new members who can't come to our meetings.
Yep, you read that right.... We know that there are a lot of teens who would love to sail, hike, take in a little Shakespeare, geocache, learn to shoot, beta test video games, climb and do all the other things we do.... but just don't have another hour to squeeze out of their weeks.
We want to make Venturing possible for everyone.... Here's how it will work:

You register as a member of the Ship ($15/year with some scholarships available), and come to ONE of our regular meetings, whenever you choose. We'll welcome you officially with a traditional ceremony, and that's all you have to do. After that, we'll keep you informed about all our activities, and you join the rest of us for activities of your choice at any time. There is no minimum number of activities you have to participate in, and
nothing you'll be excluded from trying. We're betting you'll want to join the rest of us often.
The activities we're talking about now include:

sailing
shooting sports
climbing and COPE
weekend in Gatlinburg
a trip to New Orleans (to crew sailboats in a regatta)
sailing on Tampa Bay
some conservation activities (like Adopt-a-Stream monitoring)
“ham” radio training

Closer to home, we've been known to do movies, pizza nights, pick-up Ultimate... Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts who are already in another troop/crew are welcome to join Sea Scouts too!

It gets even better:

If 2 or more people in a single organization are interested, we'll help you organize a “Crew” or “watch” (like a “patrol” in traditional Scouting)

And if 5 or more people in a single organization want, we'll help you spin off a new Ship or Crew.

Carlton Farms Field Trips

Schedule your fall field trip at Carlton Farms!!

At Carlton Farms we pride ourselves on creating a fun and educational tour experience for the school children that visit our farm. We coordinate subject matter that is covered during the tour with the Georgia Performance Standards to increase educational consistency.

While on a fall tour the students will experience all of the following: Corn Maze, Pumpkin Patch, Baby Animal Petting Barn, Hay Ride, Hay Bale Maze, and Hay Jump.

We have a Picnic area available for lunchtime, and we are pleased to say the Corn Maze and Hayride are now handicap accessible.
Each student takes home a baby pumpkin, and each class gets a large pumpkin

Dates available September 15 - November 13
(Groups are scheduled Tuesday - Friday. Mondays are reserved for rainout days.)

NIPA has made the decision to order 25 more tests to accommodate more
students who wish to take the PSAT.

Teen nights in Norcross

Homeschoolers Excelling in Greater Atlanta is now holding teen nights each
Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. in old town Norcross. We start at 45 South Cafe (45
South Peachtree Street, Norcross, GA 30071, http://45southcafe.com/), a
relaxing coffeehouse with live music. The kids can walk to two nearby parks
- the town green with beautiful fountains and another park with playground
equipment that even big kids like. You can also stop by the organic farmers
market that runs until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays. Parents get to visit while the
tweens/teens socialize and younger siblings are welcome.

This is a parent organized event and adults should plan to stay or make
arrangements with another parent to be responsible for their child. The only
exceptions are teens able to drive themselves alone to teen night. Everyone
is responsible for purchasing their own refreshments. 45 South serves
coffee, wine and desserts in the evening. There are several restaurants
close by for those who want to get dinner.

My name is Susan Cokely. My family and I are new to Atlanta and we are living in Duluth. I began singing and playing the piano at the age of 7. I received a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Azusa Pacific University in 1987. Upon graduation I used my gifts and talents in the church. I began singing and playing piano for choirs and "praise" teams and also directed children's choirs. I have also had the opportunity to work with Middle and High School students.

Upon the birth of our first child, I began teaching piano and immediately realized my love for teaching. That was 18 years ago and I have been teaching all ages and levels ever since. I absolutely love teaching and know that it is what I'm called to do. I delight not only in teaching the basic fundamentals of piano and exposing my students to all kinds of music, but most importantly I love watching them develop a love for music.

For the last eight years she has taught chemistry, biology labs, and anatomy and physiology labs to homeschoolers in Georgia. K-1 or 2 Acting lessons

Rising Stars presents drama classes for ages 4-6 at New Dawn Theater in Duluth. Classes are on Saturdays from 9:30-10:30, beginning on Aug. 21 and ending Oct. 2 (no class on Labor Day weekend, Sept. 4). The class is $75. Creative Dramatics (ages 4-6):

Homeschool groups are invited to enjoy many of the same opportunities offered to traditional school groups, including special education admission prices, no group minimums and access to free curriculum resources. You can also pre-order school lunches and Nature Packs.

Homeschool groups are welcome in any of our auditorium programs, provided that program capacity and grade level requirements are met.

We also invite you to participate in other Museum programming, such as family activity days and more.
Homeschools must present a state letter of intent to qualifty for educational rates. Education rates apply to students only. Please remember reservations are required at least 48 hours in advance.

To give your students more time and space to explore, we recommend that you visit in the afternoon on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or weekends.

We invite homeschooling families to explore the Atlanta History Center free of charge, including our exhibitions, historic houses, and gardens! We’ll have information about our educational programs including all our upcomingHomeschool Days, School Tours, Poetry Out Loud, Youth Writing Workshops, Outreach Programs, Family Programs, and more! Join a Theater Company: Upper East Side Theatre

Upper East Side Theatre, a youth theatre serving students ages 7-20 in
northeast Atlanta and Gwinnett County, is accepting new members AGES 12-20 into the Theatre Company for the 2010-2011 season of "NEW YORK STORIES: THE WRITINGS OF O. HENRY" and "PIPPIN".

Experience what it's like to be a core member of an acting ensemble!
Receive PROFESSIONAL TRAINING in auditioning, acting, character
analysis and development, stage movement, singing and dancing from
professional actors, singers and choreographers. In addition to the
performance training our Company members also receive instruction in
technical theatre, marketing and leadership, and collaborate with
professional designers on our sets, costumes, props and graphic
designs!

Our company members will be performing "NEW YORK STORIES: THE WRITINGS
OF O. HENRY" in November 2010 and "PIPPIN" in April 2011.

Rehearsals are 4-6:45 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays at New Dawn Theater (3087 Main St. Duluth 30096). A production fee of $275 for "NY Stories" and $375 for "Pippin" includes 80+ hours of professional instruction, costumes, headshots and show T-shirts. Join for the entire season and receive a discount on both production fees!
